This is what Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards and her lawyer said today during House hearings, ‘Oh, that’s from a group that wants to outlaw abortion in the US.’ This is what Dem politicians and liberal pundits keep saying. So what? If an oil CEO is confronted with contrarian info or a chart from EDF, he can’t simply shake it off w/o addressing it. Similarly, Richards and PP need to explain charts, graphs, statistics, etc based upon their factual content.

And stop with the ‘oh, they’re edited’ dismissal of videos. You can readily see the full videos, there’s nothing deceptive about editing out restaurant orders, etc. Address the videos.

This has been obvious for a while. If not for the MSM ignoring the likes of Climategate while actively promoting AGW nonsense, this enduring socialist scheme to transfer a massive redistribution of wealth from developed nations to poor nations in order to “equalize” the USA and other Western nations with those poor nations would be dropped like a hot tater. The left likes to pretend the difference between US/Western nations and undeveloped ones is due to our imperialism and cultural hegemony – gee, I wonder if they study Antonio Gramsci everywhere today – while ignoring traits such as ambition, hard work, independence, optimism, inventiveness, religious freedom, strong families and an economy that rewards products/ideas society wants and rejecting those we don’t.
The USA is blessed with abundant natural resources that some poor countries lack but that’s no excuse for failure. Before the xenophobia and silly socialist policies – e.g, feminism, enviro, and poor economic measures of quantitative easing and debt, overtook Japan to destroy their demographics, that nation was a world beacon for capitalism success. The left always works to endow successful democracies with guilt or victimization, in Japan’s case it was both.
The next time someone tries to shut you up – that’s the lefty way of dealing with dissension – with that old tired 97% canard, the first thing to do is ask them which 97% study and have them explain the validity of the research behind that specific study. They all stink.

Here’s the one-and-only, very talented singer from Sandy Hook, Kentucky, the late Keith Whitley. This is when he was part of Ralph Stanley’s band; Keith looks so young and innocent here. Two things about being in Stanley’s band: He only chose people with tremendous talent and you couldn’t look scruffy his stage. He wouldn’t truck drunkenness, either.

Was watching these guys sing on Cumberland Highlanders at the 2012 Jerusalem Ridge Festival, which highlights the birthplace of Bill Monroe, and realized at least one was born up the road in Eastern KY. The audio is a little scrappy but here’s Will You Miss Me When I’m Gone, a tune I don’t get to hear very often, by Sammy Adkins and the Sandy Hook Mountain Boys.

If you believe human-caused climate change is going to destroy the planet today or in 100 years, which I don’t, then shouldn’t the purveyors of this propaganda be sacrificing a heck of a lot before asking us little people – the unwashed masses – to sacrifice our jobs, our economy, our comforts, our civilized way of life? Instead we get our Lecturer-in-Chief burning up fossil fuels out the wazoo in order to fundraise and coincidentally give a speech on gun control or climate change or something that isn’t quite so obvious political so that taxpayers have to pay for the trip.
We get celebs like that Pharrell speaking before the UN scolding Americans to turn over billions/trillions to other nations and reduce our “carbon footprint” and then hops into his helicopter to board his private yacht then go to one of his private mansions. Oh, please, how dumb do you have to be to swallow this tripe? As Glenn Reynolds says, I’ll start believing climate change like a crisis when the people who say it’s a crisis start acting like it’s a crisis. And when one computer model actually predicts something accurate.
