Why I’m sorry Ashley Judd won’t run

http://hotair.com/archives/2013/03/27/damn-ashley-judd-decides-she-wont-run-for-senate/

Not just because she would lose.

I’m sorry because the Kentucky Democrat Party would have taken a big hit, thus breaking their total stronghold in Frankfort. Breaking that hold would have been a good thing for our state.

I’m also sorry because the highly-visible celebrity and her high-celebrity friends rushing in to support her would have drawn attention to Obama administration policies and the Democrat Party, The MSM protects Obama from his votes against the Illinois Born Alive Act, an act that would have protected babies who survive an abortion, e.g., but Judd’s radical abortion policies would have drawn attention to the entire party.

Lastly, I’m sorry because I was ready to launch a series of #WhyIWon’t VoteAshleyJudd posts. Darn. They were all good.

Don’t go telling me this was an accident or the Obama team didn’t notice. Obama’s entire career hinges on photo ops and symbols. Using Lincoln’s Bible, sitting in bus of Rosa Parks, mailing out 2008 flyers to Kentucky with Obama behind a pulpit and in front of stained glass windows. On and on, a million examples available in a 5 minute search.

Powerline Blog recalls when President Obama refused to stand in front of religious symbols during a speech at Georgetown University and had the university cover a cross and the “IHS” – which denotes Jesus Christ – so he wouldn’t offend anyone.

Anyone old enough to remember Yasser Arafat and not be swayed by an adoring liberal media that found him attractive knows that he was a murderer and exporter of terrorism. He also refused peace deals Israel – unfortunately – was willing to broker.  Yet Obama gave a speech during his Mideast trip standing underneath a huge poster of Arafat. Standing beside Obama was Palestinian Authority head Abbas, who was Arafat’s right hand man. If you don’t remember or didn’t know, here’s a quick roundup:

CAMERA notes, “In fact, groups under Arafat’s direct or indirect command – including Fatah, Black September, Tanzim and Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade – were responsible for hundreds of bombings, hijackings, assassinations and other attacks, including the 1972 murder of 11 of Israel’s Olympic athletes in Munich, the 1973 murder of the American ambassador to Sudan, Cleo Noel, and the 1985 hijacking of the Achille Lauro cruiseship (resulting in the murder of wheelchair-bound Leon Klinghoffer).”

This Powerline Blog post contains a link to the Georgetown University story. I lost a great deal of respect for Georgetown University that day, refusing to stand up for its Christian heritage.

Which is worse: These guys lecture us about saving fuel and Joe Biden flies off to Paris for one darn night to accomplish absolutely nothing that couldn’t be dealt with on Skype or whatever?

Or possibly worse: These guys lecture us about shared sacrifice and we’re so broke we close down the White House, which doesn’t belong to Obama but to us, but Joe Biden flies off to Paris for one darn night that costs us $585,000+. That figure doesn’t include all the costs of Biden’s trip.  http://www.nysun.com/editorials/sequester-joe-biden/88238/

Questions:

Our nation has a lovely large United States Embassy in Paris with top-notch security so why didn’t Biden stay there? A half-million dollars isn’t chump change to me.

What is Biden doing anyway? What part of his vice-president’s duty required this trip?

Is Crazy Uncle Joe really so crazy? He seems to live a darn sweet life at our expense, and mostly talks like an MSNBC political hack.

http://www.ynetnews.com/articles/0,7340,L-4360135,00.html  Yes, John Kerry has pushed to free up money for the Palestinian Authority because they’re facing a financial crisis. Well, that’s nothing. We’re in Sequestgeddon here. Why is the United States borrowing money from China to aid the PA?

Meanwhile back in the US, that 2% cut in the spending increase – yes we’re spending more money than we did last year, the Sequestration merely slows down the increase from last year – the White House is closed to the people who pay the bills and the FAA is shutting down airports, including a few in Kentucky. http://hotair.com/archives/2013/03/23/whats-really-behind-those-faa-tower-closures/  Yeah it turns out that the airport control towers have one thing in common –

When you scan down the list of closures, these are all towers which are managed and staffed by private contractors. Not one of them is staffed up by the National Air Traffic Controllers Association union. That’s something of a remarkable coincidence, isn’t it? Maybe not.

Funny that. The Chicago Way comes to all of America.
