Church of England has been notoriously “tolerant” and “multicultural” for quite a while now, welcoming the Occupy movement, espousing social justice, embracing global warming, and self-righteously lecturing everyone to “accommodate” the large numbers of Muslim immigrants into England. The Church is belatedly realizing that significant numbers of Muslims do not want to assimilate, they want to take over. The more “moderate” Muslims are too afraid, don’t care or number too few to speak out. It won’t surprise you to learn that the social justice/tolerant/accommodating/warmist future king Prince Charles is CoE. Of course so is Queen Elizabeth and she is a no-nonsense, common-sense monarch; perhaps being a part of WWII made a difference. She knows there’s evil in the world that is beyond understanding, she knows there is a price to pay for freedom.

The current and a former Archbishop of Canterbury are finally speaking out, speaking out in a way that is not politically correct. Welcome to the new world, America. This is what’s been happening while our MSM worshipped Obama and worked to elect Democrats.

http://www.christianpost.com/news/former-archbishop-of-canterbury-britons-fighting-for-isis-must-be-denied-civilized-society-revoke-british-jihadist-passport-125290/

Current Archbishop Most Rev Justin Welby speaks out in defense of Christian schools and claims Britain is a deeply Christian country. Liberals immediately denounce him. Unfortunately he also denies the Birmingham City Schools are being hurt by a takeover of fundamentalist Muslims. He’s wrong there. This post was May 2014; since then Birmingham has been rocked by hateful anti-Semitism and  pro-Hamas protests, often violent. I think Welby may still have some reluctance to recognize creeping sharia. http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-2727305. 3

Last Christmas Welby also recognized the massacres of Christians all over the Middle East, an attempt – quite successful so far – to wipe the Christians and Jews off the continent and then the planet. Meanwhile the Obama administration keeps lecturing us on Islamophobia. http://kjs-heresywatch.blogspot.com/2013/12/in-news-at-last-christian-massacre.html

Creeping Sharia demands accommodation by people with no desire to assimilate; they demand concessions to Islam while giving none to yours. Creeping sharia means the takeover of another culture and country by Muslims, it doesn’t in any way refer to respect between religions because the respect is decidedly one-sided, that of the non-Muslim culture. Creeping Sharia is typically the precursor to a less civil takeover if and when the circumstances permit the Islamist to do so.http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-London/2014/08/27/Muslim-gang-rapists-are-springing-up-everywhere-Why-can-t-we-be-honest-about-it

One could reasonably argue that our society, including our Christian mainline establishment, is determined to give our nation and our Western, our Judeo-Christian culture and values over to Islamists or anyone else because we don’t think our culture and America in particular is worthy of defense of any kind. BTW, have you seen the new 2014 Dinesh D’Souza move America: Where would the world be without her? You should.

http://thefederalist.com/2014/08/21/how-to-shrink-your-church-in-one-easy-step/ , critique includes the Presbyterian Church USA [PC-USA], the Evangelical Lutheran Church of America [ELCA], United Church of Christ [UCC], and the Episcopal Church. This article focuses on gay marriage but there are numerous other issues. The author correctly notes that changes to church theology typically start at the academic [seminary] level. Churches in America don’t need to be politically correct or fit some current version of social justice. Christian churches base their beliefs upon some combination of Judeo-Christian religious history, the teachings and words of Jesus and the writings of His apostles, usually through the Bible but sometimes through inspirations of church leaders or other sources long recognized by the church as fundamental to their beliefs. You don’t change your theology according to some current celebrity trend. Believers of a specific denomination make any changes after much prayer and thought. If you don’t believe the teachings of a church, don’t join. Skilled and experienced activists rushing into a church denomination may push through their agenda by change to seminaries and  taking over committees and conferences but they will likely kill the church. An established church foundation rests primarily with quiet worshippers who work and raise families, coming to church and/or Sunday School, tithing to support the church, bringing their kids to youth group or confirmation, attending potlucks and staying for congregational meetings. It is, quite frankly, a pain in the butt. It takes a lot of time, effort and determination. It may sometimes be due to family expectations or to social standing but it is usually due to a profound belief that may peak and wane at various times but is too important to completely abandon.

Exchanging a long-established theology based upon Jesus  for faddish beliefs based upon a swath of popular entertainment and shaming from politicians, junior repeating what he just heard from his sociology prof and an obliging liberal media may give dedicated church-goers pause and confusion but it will seldom bring deep conviction and comfort like the old mysteries and ‘faith of our fathers’ and Bible study brought us. Junior can ridicule all he wants but when you need soul satisfaction – when a parent dies or you lose your job or your marriage is in trouble or you worry about what an idiot Junior is becoming in college [heh] , you will leave the new -approved church for another. The problem with the “new” Mainline churches isn’t what they stand for, it’s that they don’t really believe in anything truly religious.

The talk in college circles is that Johns Hopkins University doesn’t want to fund a pro-life advocacy student group so they chose to drastically cut the accepted liberal groups. http://collegeinsurrection.com/2014/08/johns-hopkins-political-and-advocacy-groups-face-massive-funding-cuts/

This Venn diagram was released from JHU, you might want to think about this Fail. It may be the Freudian slip of truth.

News roundup

Clearing my cache. Think my dad is doing a little better, moving a little stronger, and fortunately able to be more independent in the bathroom. I’m not good on Poop Patrol. We’re not at normal but I’m optimistic.

A little common sense from Matt Walsh: http://themattwalshblog.com/2014/06/30/want-birth-control-go-buy/

The Border Crisis Is Obama’s Hurricane Katrina? Don’t Be Ridiculous!

Some (including some Democrats) are saying that the crisis on the Southwestern border is President Obama’s Hurricane Katrina. But there are at least two fundamental differences between the illegal immigration fiasco and Katrina. First, the response to Hurricane Katrina was actually the largest and the fastest response to any natural disaster in history, as Popular Mechanics, as I recall, later documented. Second, President Bush didn’t cause the hurricane.

In the collective, Comrade, we are all equal but some are more equal than others. The US Fish and Wildlife granted a permit to a California wind farm to kill birds. Where is the Dawn dish detergent ad weeping over the birds? Remember all the 12-year-old girls upset after oil spills made the birdies look pitiful but alive? Remember the indignation over a few killed birds by oil? That’s nothing compared to “clean” wind and solar energies. http://newsbusters.org/blogs/tom-blumer/2014/06/28/wind-farm-gets-permit-kill-eagles-aps-scott-smith-claims-wind-energy-has

More Matt Walsh, not buying into the whole white male privilege guilt trip.  http://themattwalshblog.com/2014/07/09/ill-check-privilege-check-assumptions/2/

War on Women? Well no, I’d say it’s a war on the innocent unborn babies. Of course, the Senate Democrats – you know, that’s the compassionate party – voted for radical late-term abortion because they knew it wouldn’t go anywhere over GOP opposition but hey, they get to tell women they fought for their right to kill their babies, thus retaining this all-important base for the mid-terms. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/07/barbaric-100-of-dem-senators-vote-for-late-term-abortion-up-to-nine-months-of-pregnancy/

At first glance this sounds like hate speech and racism but the accuser is a black Democrat pol speaking to Republicans, so Whew!, everything is A-OK. http://sistertoldjah.com/archives/2014/07/23/ncdems-de-facto-leader-gop-doesnt-like-little-black-girls-wh/

It’s a good thing the Obama administration swears we have nothing to fear and everything to gain from our open borders – you racist, you – because otherwise I’d be afraid of this: http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/03/22/report-13-illegal-immigrants-apprehended-marine-uniforms/  Guess what? This article is 3 years old. http://www.foxnews.com/us/2011/03/22/report-13-illegal-immigrants-apprehended-marine-uniforms/

The Democratic politician makes this sound like a bad thing – actually I’m pretty damn proud of it. http://pjmedia.com/tatler/2014/08/02/florida-congressman-white-people-to-blame-for-collapse-of-amnesty-in-congress/

http://Building a new layer on the grievance industry via the America is a Terrible Country theme so popular with lefties here and abroad. Some people fell for the show but I think more people had their eyes opened to the ranting of race-baiting hucksters such as Sharpton and the obvious agenda of the “journalists.”  The disregard of the Brown family and black politicians for the investigation and the civil rights of the policeman was shocking and the demands of the same people to dictate total control of events was appalling – no one can pick out a prosecutor, a judge, a jury and a pre-determined outcome. Today a NAACP spokesman said they can’t accept anything less than a murder charge for the policeman, this before we know very much at all as to what happened.

All this is especially troublesome to anyone who has the slightest grasp of the facts about racial crime and police/criminal deaths. The white on black crime is virtually non-existent, the black on white crime is much higher, the black on black crime is an epidemic and the police suffer more deaths from young black men that vice versa. I hate being lied to over and over like this, being fed a crock for a political agenda. The sad part is some people will believe this narrative. What will happen when young black men believe this? Will they strike out at police or whites or merchants in what they believe is justifiable rage? Will black parents refuse to hold young black men accountable for their behaviors even more than is true today? Will more non-whites trust blacks even less, will they move away from Ferguson, turning it into a ghetto?

This is idiocy, all based upon the phony narrative demanded by Democrats and black leaders and the MSM. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/08/teacher-suspended-for-having-students-reenact-mike-brown-ferguson-shooting/

Thanks to the Obama administration’s quest for political votes and utter disregard for the safety of our nation, and to the truth, the question today is: can a white person or a white cop get justice amid racial turmoil? I’m beginning to wonder if there isn’t something seriously wrong with Eric Holder that goes beyond politics.  http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/08/anti-police-leftists-take-control-of-ferguson-shooting-investigation.php

It’s all about the narrative, telling a story – whether it’s true doesn’t matter – to keep your voting base stirred up and out to vote in the midterms. I’ve never known politicians so cynical as the Obama administration. All they care about is winning elections. http://legalinsurrection.com/2014/08/misleading-initial-narrative-of-zimmerman-martin-case-applied-in-ferguson//#more

Burning down businesses that employ people because all you want is a job? I’m not buying this excuse for mayhem. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/08/ferguson-protesters-rebuild-our-quiktrip-or-there-will-be-hell-to-pay-video/

Finally, here’s Bill Whittle with some facts, some data, some truth. Not as satisfying as smugly holding a moment of silence at an awards show but hey, it’s all I got.

Here’s what you are: Politicians desperately trying to activate the base; Black leader desperately trying to make $$ and stay relevant, MSM trying to up their ratings; Liberal activists trying to live a misguided nostalgia to feel important. All ghouls trying to pump up their lives with borrowed blood from another time, another generation, other people.

There is still injustice in this country, not all of it against blacks or browns or Asians or any other minority. In some areas, whites are the minority. In all areas, police are the minority. I don’t know what happened in Ferguson, neither does anyone else. If you substitute the word “Florida” for “Ferguson,” that is the same sentence I wrote during another important election, the 2012 presidential election. It worked for Obama, Holder and the Democrats to maximize, and actually manufacture to a certain extent, racial hatred in order to get their black base to run to the polls.

As a longtime liberal, I began to see on the blogs from late 2007 to the present, an excitement, a longing, an outright push for protests, riots and an uprising similar or even worse than the 1960s. Some intent was desired to bring about change, some to overthrow the government for a socialist nation but some was for the Clockwork Orange feeling of abandon, a wilding. Go back and read some lefty blogs from back then and you’ll see it. You can also see it in some past international riots, all done under some phony guise of free tuition, antiwar, global warming or whatever. You can always find an excuse to follow your wild feelings.

Here’s some obvious differences between the 1960s civil rights movement and the Ferguson riots.

1. In the 60s, the civil rights movement people marched or protested during the day while the white repression occurred at night. The 3 young men buried under the Philadelphia, MS levee were released from jail during the night, followed, killed and buried at night. They vanished into the darkness. Beatings of civil rights college students and groups – many of them Jewish – occurred at night. The Birmingham bomb was set on Saturday night in time for the church Sunday School early the next morning. We did see the water hoses and dogs thrown at protesters during the day but that was nothing compared to the night violence, and the local authorities felt comfortable with the daytime ugliness. It was the killings, especially the little girls in church, which galvanized the nation. In Ferguson, the daytime protests were peaceful but the looting, the vandalism, the violence came at night – from the supposed civil rights movement. You don’t have to be a Bible reader to think of the verses depicting the evil that emerges during the dark.

2] There was no looting from 60s civil rights protesters. Seriously, can you imagine the Rev Martin Luther King Jr running out of a store with $200 sneakers? Can you imagine him encouraging his followers to do that? What’s the message: Michael Brown was a thug who stole so I’ll honor him by stealing during violence? That cannot be a righteous act.

3] The blatant demonization of whites by black leaders, the MSM and politicians. Is this progress?

4] The blatant disregard of the Obama administration to the safety and well-being of our nation in exchange for a political election. There’s some evidence the Kennedys began their support of MLK for political gain but they did nothing to endanger our nation, our community, or individuals. There’s also some evidence that later JFK and RFK learned some real compassion for the movement.

5] The calls for more violence from the victim’s families, and the failure of the black community in public to admit any wrongdoing by any black, anywhere. We are approaching or already at the point where any action by any black, no matter what the action, is excused. Is this from the ghetto culture – thanks rich rappers who don’t live in black communities – or the persistent failure of black leaders to hold black behavior responsible? Fatherless families, a disdain for education, low information voters that mindlessly pull the “D” lever at the polls because they’ve been told lies, decades of welfare that led to entrenched dependency?

6] The shocking disregard of the civil rights of the white officer and of his safety and that of his family. We don’t know what happened. Like the Martin/Zimmerman case, we need to back off and quit making judgments until the investigative phase is given a fair chance.

The big similarity I see? The preponderance of Democratic politicians. Yep, the Dixiecrats – Southern Democrats who ran the south – instituted and enforced the Jim Crow Laws. Southern Jim Crow governors from George Wallace to Lester Maddox were all Dems as were the police who used the dogs and water hoses. They were all Democrats in good standing; Sheriff Bull O’Connor was a Dem national assemblyman. What? You didn’t know? Try to remember that the next time some MSNBC “news” anchor or guest calls George Wallace a Republican.
