http://nicedeb.wordpress.com/2012/10/07/52936/ does a roundup of where we are.
It’s not bad enough they tore apart the life of a private citizen and threw our Constitutionally-protected free speech under the bus in order to pretend it was a video and not terrorism, simply to save their sorry butts.
It’s not bad enough our Ambassador was afraid and they denied him assistance.
It’s not bad enough they practice appeasement to people who detest weakness.
It’s not bad enough they lied, flat-out lied, to the American people, to the United Nations, and to the world.
It’s not bad enough they’re lying about an ‘investigation’ into the acts. They’re not going back for any investigation. They don’t want us to know the truth. We don’t know if our Ambassador was tortured, as was reported in some local media there. We don’t know if our Ambassador was raped, since local media reported he was ‘abused’ and his body disappeared for several hours, and later pictures showed his trousers were on backwards and his belt undone. We don’t know squat.
It’s not bad enough they knew within 2 hours that this was certainly terrorism, yet they continued to lie.
Now we learn that the State Dept removed a 16-member security team 1 month before 9/11.
One other thing overlooked in all this: They pretended the 2 former Navy Seals were part of the security team. They said his companions left our Ambassador alone, no one knows where they went, leaving him alone in the ‘safe house.’
This smear hides the fact that the 2 former Navy Seals weren’t even assigned to security for the consulate. They were safely ensconced in a hotel some distance away on a separate mission, but heard the disturbance and went to the aid of the consulate. Both men lost their lives in a vain attempt to save the Ambassador and his aide. As usual, the Navy Seals were heroes and their brave attempt to help – when it wasn’t their job – needs to be recognized.
