Obama doesn’t help her any, he’s such a narcissist he can’t stay out of the picture. He’s like his “diplomat,” he has to tell you when he’s doing something sneaky out of the headlines. He has to get credit for everything. Here he goeson Al Sharpton’s radio show and announces, yeh, those redstate Dem candidates are lying about not supporting him but he doessn’t mind. When they win, they’ll be his. Thanks, Obama. That’s just what most of us think about Alison Grimes. She’s taking money you made for the Dems by your profligate fund-raising but somehow she won’t owe you or the Dems anything. Meanwhile she spends time whining about money – less money, actually – going to Mitch to beat her. She’s not even elected but she’s still full of dishonesty and hypocrisy.
BTW, what’s the POTUS hanging out with that fraud and race-baiter Al Sharpton? That’s disturbing. So, this isn’t about my feelings being hurt. These are folks who are strong allies and supporters of me. And I tell them, I said, you know what, you do what you need to win. I will be responsible for making sure that our voters turn up.
Obama? Heck Alison can’t even deny she’d vote for Harry Reid as Majority Leader if she’s elected. Ugh. http://weaselzippers.us/202552-alison-lundergan-grimes-refuses-to-say-if-she-would-vote-for-harry-reid-to-lead-senate-dems/
Obama, of course, had obliged us by formerly affirming that while his name isn’t on the ballots, it sure is his policies on the ballot, thus smashing the denials of redstate Dems. But Jonah Goldberg notes that Alison and other redstate Dems may be Hillary Clinton Dems but they’re sure not Bill Clinton Dems because Hillary’s politics are much more in line with Obama’s politics than Bill’s, reflecting not only her more radical politics but the movement of the Democratic Party to the left. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/390524/return-clinton-democrats-not-really-jonah-goldberg
Alison Lundergan Grimes is betting the farm on the popularity of the Clintons. Bill won both presidential races in Kentucky – the last Democrat to do so – and Hillary soundly defeated Obama in the 2008 primaries but I think their popularity, especially Hillary’s, is overrated. I think much of her success here in 2008 was due to a backlash against the anti-coalObama remarks and his conversation of bitter clingers. Obama calculated -unfortunately, correctly – that he could win w/o coal-producing redstate votes of Kentucky but Alison can’t afford that luxury. She needs all the votes she can get. I still don’t think she will win but the Dems have more money than the GOP, the Clintons are everywhere, KY has more registered Dems than Repubs, the MSM here are Democratic and Mitch isn’t very exciting. That may turn out to be his strong suit, there’s never been any scandal with Mitch, he’s viewed as a centrist, nobody much likes him but he’s hard to hate, his stances are pretty well-known – he’s actually been criticized in the past for his support of the coal industry by greenies, and best of all, nobody thinks he’s a toadie for the Clintons or Obama. In fact, we believe he dislikes Obama as much as we do.
