The funniest moments of Hans Solo in Star Wars was his repeated deer-in-the-headlight denials of “It’s not my fault.” Ever notice how often our president blames others, never realizing that not only is he thin-skinned but he’s refusing any responsibility even though he’s supposedly the Leader of the Free World and the most important man on earth. He sure likes the perks, though, doesn’t he? What is he, 16 years old?
Everytime he seeks to spend the US into the endless pit of debt for more entitlements, he blames the GOP Congress for failing to giving him what he wants. He has no concept of compromise, no intent to negotiate, and of course fails to note that half the Congress is controlled by his own Democratic Party. Ronald Reagan won a truly historic landslide re-election but he sure as heck didn’t get everything he wanted from an unapologetic Congress. Why should Obama assume he automatically gets everything he wants from amnesty to more debt to carbon tax?
Worse, he blames agencies for any error. Special ops tried to save journalist James Foley but they had the wrong holding place? Not his fault, he had faulty intelligence. Faulty intelligence on Benghazi, too. The MSM help Obama out; everything’s falling apart? It’s the fault of social media for making him look bad. Hey, the presidency is too big for one guy anymore.
I’ve been bookmarking egregious examples for some time and here comes Victor Davis Hanson at National Review Online with an excellent roundup of the same topic so I’ll just link you to him. Hanson missed the Hans Solo connect, though. http://www.nationalreview.com/article/387410/obamas-untruth-inc-victor-davis-hanson
