Here’s Obama’s approach to negotiating with Congress: Give me everything I want and be quick about it or else I’ll blame the DC gridlock on you. It works quite well for Obama because the MSM don’t point out that no president gets everything he wants, not even Reagan after his landslide reelection. You talk to both parties in Congress, you talk to both houses, you spend lots of blood, sweat and tears in discussions, giving something to get something. Obama is either too arrogant or too ignorant or too disinterested enough to work for legislation or answers to our nation’s problems. I suspect it’s all three. The MSM play his game, refusing to unfavorably compare him to other hard-working presidents/negotiators or to point out all of Obama’s threats to veto what he doesn’t like or Harry Reid’s numerous refusal to bring House bills to a vote in the Senate.
Obama: My way or the highway. Liberals brag he’s a man of principles but it’s nothing to be proud of. Why don’t we elect Franklin Graham or Rick Warren as president, they’ve got strong principles too. Obama is an ideologue, someone who’d rather disobey the laws of our nation and fail to ensure our important business rather than budge a smidgen or negotiate an iota. His only accomplishment is showing us we need a mature adult, a pragmatist in the Oval Office.
Hamas: My way or the highway. It’s not as if a terrorist group can govern. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/08/hamas-warns-of-more-rocket-attacks-unless-all-demands-are-met.php
[Hamas spokesman] Mushir al-Masri advised tens of thousands of Israelis who left their homes in the South not to return unless Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu complied with all the demands of Hamas and other groups. . . .
The Hamas spokesman claimed that Israel has only one choice: to comply with the demands of the Palestinians.
You won’t be surprised to learn that after this approach to peace-making, Hamas promptly broke the most recent ceasefire. In other Gaza news:
Turns out Hamas and the Palestinians aren’t quite restricted to the David-small arms model after all. They’re getting help from Qatar of a technical kind: http://www.timesofisrael.com/qatari-tech-helps-hamas-in-tunnels-rockets-expert/

When life is cheap, when people are expendable, when parents and leaders consider martyrdom the most honorable action, even for a child, you can be sure life will be lost. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/07/report-at-least-160-children-died-digging-hamas-tunnels.php
