The rest of us, at least the Middle America part, have some questions and concerns about the release of Bowe Bergdhal and especially the treatment by the Obama administration to treat him as a hero.
More and more evidence that his superiors and fellow soldiers consider him at least a deserter, if not a traitore. http://thehill.com/policy/defense/207867-bergdahls-fellow-soldiers-claim-hes-a-deserter-not-a-hero
It’s quite clear Obama once again broke the law, this time by releasing 6 Gitmo prisoners without discussing this with Congress but hey, when you’re The One who Won, you don’t need to consider any puny laws or a Constitution or democracy. http://pjmedia.com/jchristianadams/2014/06/02/bergdahl-they-dont-care-about-the-law-get-over-it/
Uh, if it comes down to a contest on veracity between Susan Rice and the soldiers who actually served with Bergdhal, it’s no contest. I wouldn’t believe Rice if she took a vow on a stack of Bibles in a courtroom. http://cnsnews.com/news/article/susan-jones/susan-rice-bergdahl-was-captured-battlefield vs http://www.cnn.com/2014/06/01/us/bergdahl-deserter-or-hero/index.html
Here’s a post by a fellow soldier who not only despises Bergdhal but says he and the other soldiers were forced to sign an agreement of silence about him and his statements/actions. http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2014/06/02/we-lost-soldiers-in-the-hunt-for-bergdahl-a-guy-who-walked-off-in-the-dead-of-night.html?utm_medium=email&utm_source=newsletter&utm_campaign=cheatsheet_morning&cid=newsletter%3Bemail%3Bcheatsheet_morning&utm_term=Cheat%20Sheet
There are a lot of nonpartisan people saying a lot of negative things about Bergdhal but this is awfully damning if true. http://www.bluegrasspundit.com/2014/06/report-bergdahl-may-have-been.html Report: Bergdahl may have been collaborating with the Taliban…
Six US soldiers died trying to “rescue” Bowe Bergdhal. The parents of one of the six isn’t happy. http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2014/06/angry-parents-compare-bergdahl-coverup-to-benghazi.php These six were with his unit but soldiers from other unites were also killed hunting for the AWOL Berhdhal, who walked away from camp. http://www.thegatewaypundit.com/2014/06/col-david-hunt-we-lost-14-soldiers-searching-for-deserter-bergdahl-video/
So who did Obama release from Gitmo in exchange for one AWOL soldier who repeatedly made anti-American comments? Five top Taliban commanders, deemed “high risk” and “likely to rejoin the terrorism fight” against America and Afghanistan. http://www.jammiewf.com/2014/heres-what-happens-when-taliban-leaders-are-released/
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2646222/Taliban-leaders-given-heros-welcome-footage-claiming-prisoners-arriving-Qatar-Guantanamo-release-no-American-presence-sight.html What a shock, the exchange has already slipped up; the Gitmo Five were supposed to be closely watched in Qatar. Obama never fails to disappoint, does he? Has he ever done anything right? Right for the nation, that is.
Who will take responsibility when people die because of these terrorists? http://www.longwarjournal.org/archives/2014/05/sgt_bowe_bergdahl_ex.php#
Here’s one tiny tidbit:
Malim Jan was nicknamed the “Butcher of Khowst” for his reported role in murdering 300 people there. Jan was a sub-commander under Haqqani and the head of a “Secret Police” unit
