Compare and contrast: Sarah Palin puts up an ordinary political map to target Dem legislators during an upcoming election. Jared Loughner is almost certainly mad, is a registered Democrat, has raised some suspicions at the local community college he once attended, and kills 5 people and nearly kills Gabby Giffords in a massacre that is completely nonpolitical since some people killed, including a judge, were Republicans. There is not the slightest evidence that Loughner knew who Sarah Palin was, had any interest in politics or ever saw her website with the map. In the guise of self-righteous anger, the left and MSM blame take a huge political hit on Sarah Palin blaming her little map, an unremarkable map that resembles numerous other maps used by politicians. No matter. The left couldn’t allow this crisis to go to waste and demagoguery ensued.
That was liberal fantasy designed to take out Palin as a political voice. Now we have reality, the result of liberals who insist that anyone who doesn’t support gay marriage or opposes homosexuality because of religious beliefs is guilty of hate speech. The Southern Poverty Law Center, an ultra leftwing group that specializes in raising money by labeling dissenting conservative voice as hate or terror obliged their base by adding anti-gay marriage and religious group The Family Research Council to their list of hate groups.
Now reality rears its ugly head, in the form of Floyd Corkins, who makes it clear he saw the Hate Map at the SPLC website and went to FRC with the intent to kill as many people as possible :
